Cone Clicker; Beta Patch One (Devlog 09)


Hello there, War Cat Studios here,

On release of Cone Clicker's beta, there were many bugs and issues that all of you kindly pointed out to me.  I did my best to fix as many of these issues or requests as I could but some had to be pushed back to the next update.  This may be the first devlog on Itch.io but it is the 9th devlog overall, the other devlogs and future readings of posts can be found on my youtube channel.


Let's begin with the actual features:

  • Auto saving has been added
  • Save is trigged on going back to start menu


Now for  the UI,  general game things, and bug fixes:

  • Support  was added for WebGL,  Apple, and Linux
  •  Full screen toggles were added for downloaded versions of the game with f11 or through the settings, the toggle appears on the browser version but does not  work
  •  Windowed mode is resizable as to assist in fixing scaling issues
  • Set the game to be built in "free aspect" for a better screen scaling experience
  • Bug where contract button would not reappear when loading a file with contracts unlocked was fixed
  • Bug where a bit of invisible text would block the contract and "turn in" buttons was fixed
  • Bug where cone particle effects would continue to be generated when the achievement menu was open was fixed
  • Bug where spaceships and certain upgrades didn't save was fixed

Things pushed back to the next update:

  • Break Infinity script allowing for huge numbers
  • standard notation
